Major MyMITC Upgrade Announced
An MITC Software Development Conference was held from March 7-8 at the Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. MITC software developers, designers, architects, software services, project managers, and sales staff all participated.
The main outcome is that a completely new version of MyMITC will be available by June 30th 2016. The main features will be:
- All new look-and-feel to make MyMITC even easier to learn, navigate and use.
- Resizable screens to better accommodate mobile devices (responsive layouts).
- Consistent use of icons mirroring the design of popular web sites.
- All new Web Clock.
- Enhanced Scheduling
- Employee access to Restrictions & Preferences with manager approval.
- Color coding of schedule shifts.
- Visual schedule presentations for employees and managers.
- Option for employees to request a shift and manager approval.
- Option to ask employees to confirm schedule.
- Time and Attendance
- Addition of approval button for “Ready To Bill”.
- New Employee Summary report with approve options.
- Work Tickets
- Schedule start and end time on work tickets:
- Report by crew sorted by date, time (to-do list).
- Visual schedule by crew to help spot “openings”.

The new version will be available by 6/30 for installation in July-September. The software is available free of charge to all Business and Premier Class and Cloud customers and those who already have the web, and new technical documentation employee and manager handbooks will be provided.
All employees, managers and administrators will require training due to the scope of the upgrade. We appreciate that this change will impact everyone in your organization. To ease the transition, MITC will temporarily support both versions and allow both to be used simultaneously at your organization. MITC will provide a Transition Training Program (details to follow) with options to have MITC provide training for managers.
