In a July 2018 letter to ANCOR, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) confirmed that EVV systems are subject to HIPAA privacy and security protections. A new HIPAA compliance update for MITC RS2 and myMITC allows providers to protect client identities, services delivered, and documentation according to HIPAA standards.
